Ida Mattisson
Ida Mattisson grew up in Sweden where her family bred horses. She’s been riding as long as she’s been walking and started her full time career in the equestrian field when she was 16 years old. After four years in Sweden, Belgium, and eight years as a Head Beriter in Germany, she was recruited to be the head trainer at Enterprise Farms (Rhinebeck, NY and Wellington, FL). Five successful seasons later, in 2015, Ida moved to Twinwood. Ida has trained, taught and competed to Grand Prix level in Europe and the US with multiple horses. Ida holds US Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals, and German Bronze and Silver medals.
By incorporating the classical principles learned under several renowned international trainers into her own training program, Ida’s primary mission is nurturing lasting and successful partnerships through a core program that is focused on building strength and trust, while also being tailored to the specific horse and rider.
